Description
Savannah’s Newest Master Planned Industrial Park
As of June 2022, development has begun on a Class A Crossdock Facility (building 2) for Savannah, Georgia’s newest industrial park, the Georgia International Commerce Center (GICC). This new Crossdock Facility consists of 983, 751 SF, has direct access to the I-16 and I-95, as well as, Highway 80, and is within 21.5 miles of the Georgia Ports Authority, Garden City Terminal. Access to the I-16 is strategic, as it’s one of the fastest growing interchanges in the area, and will be home to the Hyundai Motor Groups’ new $5.5 billion electric vehicle manufacturing plant.
The Georgia International Commerce Center itself will consist of 7 million square feet of Class A distribution warehouse space split across 8 buildings, and is being developed to accommodate the rising demand for container space. This $2.5 billion expansion plan is to double the cargo capacity (TEU) of the container terminal.
Completion of the Crossdock Facility is slated to be finished in September 2023.
